About Me
My name is Joshua Lemieux and I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. In December of 2011 I graduated from Ball State University with my Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with Minors in French and Communication Studies and I graduated from Saint Joseph's College with my MBA in July of 2016.
I am currently the Housing Operations Coordinator for Purdue University Northwest where I get to oversee the contracts and assignments for all 750 beds in our two apartment style buildings. I also get to advise our Residence Hall Association, National Residence Hall Honorary, and the PNW Lego User Group!
Before moving to Hammond, IN I worked for two small private colleges (Saint Joseph's College and Andrew College). For both institutions I supervised numerous buildings and staff, both professional and paraprofessional.
Before working for higher education I worked for Crossroads of America Council as the Popcorn Fundraising Specialist. During my time with the council, I was a leading philanthropist in the Indianapolis market, and trained and worked with volunteers to establish fundraising fundamentals. In total, I worked with over 125 Scouting Units. I also served on the Board of Directors for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Indianapolis. As a board member, I helped establish the organization and increase both our membership and attendance at events.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Some other hobbies include scrap booking, camping, caving, cooking, painting, traveling and experiencing new cultures. I am also an avid aquarist, and during high school I had 25 fish tanks set up in my basement. I also enjoy buying and creating Lego products.
My entire life lies before me and I have many choices to make. I have a vast majority of opportunities in front of me and I’m ready to show the world what I’ve got!
Personal Mission Statement
I can do anything I set my mind to.
I will remember where I have been, focus on my future and maintain positive relationships with friends and family by seeking out and experiencing all the pleasures life has to offer.
I will leave a positive, lasting influence with everyone I meet, building a reputation that shows my dedication and making me worthy of respect and admiration, while maintaining my humility.
I will help others recognize their God-given intuitive abilities while continuing to strengthen my own by pursuing knowledge, wisdom and my dreams while showing honesty and integrity in all my actions and maintaining balance in all my obligations.
I will think through my decisions and find the best solution for every obstacle I face, while being open to other’s suggestions and admitting when I’m wrong.
I will live a life that promotes health and wellbeing, by eating better, walking 10,000 steps a day and working out at least twice a week.
I will enjoy every day I’m given and find laughter, love and happiness, create a learning environment everywhere I go, repay every kindness and being thankful.
